Last weekend we drove down to NC to see our friends and family for a few days because our friend John was on leave from Iraq, so we visited and had a little party(-;

My favorite building in Chicago! It's the Carbon and Carbide Building now occupied by the Hard Rock Hotel. It was designed during the prohibition to look like a champagne bottle (the building is covered in green granite and topped with 24 carat gold leaf).
