What We've Been Up to Lately

Last night we went to see The Monsters of Folk (Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis, M. Ward, and Yim Yames) at the Auditorium Theater at Roosevelt University. It was 2 1/2 hours of MOF, Bright Eyes, My Morning Jacket, and M. Ward. It was AMAZING! Linda came up visit for the weekend and we saw the concert Friday and then had Melting Pot for dinner to celebrate her birthday on Saturday :-) Good weekend, good weekend!
We also went to Gurnee Mills, a giant mall between Chicago and Wisconsin and I got a Snuggie with Jack heads and we got a few things for the baby (that's a Barber jersey) (-:
We got some great Halloween pics from the family!

Last weekend we went to visit Nick in College Park, Maryland and we took a tour of the Smithsonian's Contemporary Art Museum. This sculpture was about ten feet high and ten times as disturbing in real life!

Belly at 9 weeks and then 12 weeks...
Here's the little bean. This ultrasound was taken at 8 weeks. Doctor said everything looked good and heartbeat sounded good as well, I can't wait to get another in December! I've been really lucky so far with no nausea, just been sleepy and hungry, but that's any different then before!
If you zoom in the marquee says Kevin Smith. We got tickets to see his Q&A, 3 hours of storytelling (that word doesn't really do it justice) from Josh's favorite director. Pretty sweet!

Kitty Update

The kitties were super sad that they hadn't had a post in a long time so here are a few things they have been up to...
Killer is learning to play Nocturne #12,
They made a vow to nap anytime anybody in the house naps,
Killer and Tigre both decided they wanted to be a chicken for Halloween (they like it, look at their faces!)
Hiding in the closet,

Killer just wants to cuddle... Tigre feels smothered.

Lollapalooza 2009

Killers!
Jane's Addiction
They had a helicopter flying overhead for the show. Perry's got a lot of pull in Chicago.

Band of Horses
They played 10 minutes into the Jane's Addiction set, kinda strange...

Nothing like a nap and a picnic...with lobster corndogs and dancing hippies.

Coheed and Cambria
Front Entrance

Day 1 was cold and rainy, we brought the camel pack for easy H2O access
Disco Ball Man
Crystal Castles

Saturday we went to Hot Doug's for the best hot dogs and sausage in Chicago

Fleet Foxes
Mykonos!

Advertisement for Lay's Potato Chips in the subway... "Our potatoes are grown closer then you may think..." I don't think I'd want to eat potatoes from the subway.
Perry's was one of our favorite places this year: Crookers, Kid Cudi, Animal Collective, Hercules and Love Affair, Diplo, Bassnectar, The Glitch Mob, MSTRKRFT, and Deadmau5.

Look closer, she is sitting on top of the girl in the green shirt's head.
Josh and Brian took this picture on the way back from the airport. This is why I like riding the train...
