Some of the buildings we saw on our 12 block detour...
On July 31st we drove to the great city of Chi for Lollapalooza. The weather was blissful and the city was charged for the festival. The first day in we went to the closest Park and Ride station, finagled our way through ATMs and transit card vending machines, and took the Blue Line to downtown. After walking several blocks in the wrong direction several times we ended up in Grant Park right at sunset--it was/is beautiful! The next day was Day 1 of the festival and the park was getting ready. Buckingham Fountain was lit pink and purple-gorgeous. Lolla was beautiful too...
Perry's Place- House music stage, Perry did "Jane Says" with Slash on Day 2. Danny Matherson rocked out on Day 3 (Hyde on That 70's Show)...
Break dancing lessons for the children...
Bloc Party- Note to self, don't buy new cd. The old songs were great tho (-:
And just as the sun begins to set on Day 1...15 Steps and a sheer drop. Radiohead was AMAZING as always. All of In Rainbows plus Fake Plastic Trees, Idioteque, 2+2=5, There, There, Everything in It's Right Place, The Bends...loved the song choices but not crazy about the order, some firework malfunctions led to fireworks during Videotape and Faust Arp... not very complementary, but overall, still wonderful...it is Radiohead, after all.

iPhone Mania
So with the move to Chi city Josh and I decided to get iPhones so that we will be able to keep in touch with everyone through email and blogs and have something to keep us busy on those possible train rides on the "L"(-:... And because they are sweet and we are completely obsessed with them! More to come!
